Recycling your climbing rope

You have sorted out your climbing kit and realised that the time has come to dispose of this rope that is damaged or too old to be used. Recycle it!

Why should i recycle my rope?

  • recycling-climbing-rope

    1/ To protect your safety

After 1, 2, 3... 10 years! Can't remember how old your rope is? Caution: ropes are Personal Protective Equipment with a limited lifespan that must be stored in a dry and cool place, out of the light. It is important to take care and check them frequently (we will help you with this below).

2/ To contribute to the circular economy

When you recycle your rope, it is transformed into another material that avoids the consumption of new resources.

3/ To help to install equipment on rock faces

Once the logistical costs have been paid, the remaining profit is donated to the RockClimber foundation (FFME) that works to equip and maintain rock faces.
